me to be me by Charlie Morgani am alone. all others, mere figures
in my rickety rhombus existence;
yet, we're all going the same way.
just leaning moreso to one side.
like a parapet we trade spots, of pain,
joy, clackety-clack, one rung, two.
a head bobs-up, only to go down again.
at one clock-point, we spin, dance a hora.
where did you come from? what place
in my gray matter owns you, has you.
go back. a simple existence. that's
all i want. i want me to be me.
you lean the wrong way, anyway.
