We Could by Anita MacWe are in a place where
white lies & fluffernutter questions
float above
Truth & Connection.
And if I seem self-satisfied…
I stake no claim here,
only provide a few
scenic views
that may entice you
to settle without a Flag,
but still something
that may pass as Ownership
(to simple minds).
…it’s only because
you built me that way.

Posted by George Hoerner on 08/10/09 at 11:09 PM This is a nice write Anita. I feel that this reflects what most conversation really is. Words means so many different things to people and even the inflection in speech will change meaning or how something said is viewed. Words hide so many things. |
Posted by V. Blake on 08/10/09 at 11:11 PM I can't put my finger on what it is I adore about this poem, but there is something really special snaking its way through the clever phrases that comprise this great write. Thanks for sharing it :-) |
Posted by Gabriel Ricard on 08/11/09 at 12:32 AM Only you could get away with a word like "Fluffernutter." Heh. Nice use of it, and good stuff across the board. |

'Settle without a Flag'; neither contradiction nor ambiguity. This makes me smile, but then quality affects me that way... |

Built intuit, I say. |
