The time marches on
Without you at my side.
Some things never change
They just rearrange.
So I go to the beach
Go on some useless dates
Frequent the same bookstores
Watch a movie or two
Or hundred, never so few.
Time marches on
As I move quietly in my life
Without you at my side.
