Like A Dream

by Joe Cramer

Like a dream
I see you
in early eve.
Softly I see
you
in my mind's eye.
Slowly the night
evolves,
far and away
from me.
Like a dream
you move before me
sweetly, tenderly,
longingly.
I watch you
forever.
I want you.
Wanting to say
more
than I could ever
hope for.
I want to say
more
than I ever should,
than I ever could.
Like a dream
you stand before me.
With you
forever
I want to dance
if I can.
This I plan
to do.
In my dreams
you are with me.
In reality
our dance
begins.
