In Her Travels

by Joe Cramer

She doesn't travel,
She reads travel books.
Instead of worrying about distant lands,
Far away plans
That never come to fruition.
It is indeed her mission
To go there, to visit between the pages
Of so many penned poems,
So many self-same books.
I sit there too,
So many years later
Doing the same thing
Yet wondering when
My next adventure will take me.
She never traveled
Instead, perused travel magazines
Forever looking inbetween
The pages for what she wanted.
She found a solace in that,
Joy in her travels.
