Surpass Survive

by Alison McKenzie

Allowing the focus of pain to dissipate
Turning myself toward de novo,
The promise of another dawn,
Luring me to conscious -
Eyes open, stretch, and hit the ground running.

My intentions to surpass survival
Raised to flourish
In the course of my erudition.

Au courant thought,
Saturation of hope and grace,
Moving beyond the loss of dreams,
Stepping through fear into the
Freedom of one more revolution -
Spiral of a new dance
Emerging into love.

Author's Note: And it has nothing at all to do with a relationship with another, only the relationship to divinity and self.

...Melanie Sofka ala early 70s sang of "a baby day" meaning each morning...zacktly what your words are saying with a good grin...a freshnes is breaking-out in your greeting of the [new] day.
