Surpass Survive by Alison McKenzieAllowing the focus of pain to dissipate
Turning myself toward de novo,
The promise of another dawn,
Luring me to conscious -
Eyes open, stretch, and hit the ground running.
My intentions to surpass survival
Raised to flourish
In the course of my erudition.
Au courant thought,
Saturation of hope and grace,
Moving beyond the loss of dreams,
Stepping through fear into the
Freedom of one more revolution -
Spiral of a new dance
Emerging into love.
