On the 4th of July we'll raise the flag
to show everyone that we're proud to be free.
We'll shoot off fireworks and celebrate
the birth of our wonderful country.

But let's give credit where credit's do,
from Gettysburg's rolling hills
to the burning sands of the Middle East.
It's our brave soldiers that deserve the thrills.

On this wonderful holiday when you're celebrating
and watching the kids chase lightning bugs
Find a soldier or a veteran, tell them "THANK YOU"
for keeping us free and give 'em a big hug.

For without them who knows where we'd be.
Not watching fireworks with our family.
So remember our brave boys and girls who fight.
It's because of them that we are free.
