The Voice of Us

by Melissa Panther

What did you doubt
my ability to rise up,
your capacity to love?

Allow your art
to be your voice
when autumn rains move
and slow seconds prove
we are more than
our space alludes to

Face off
walls down
inhale me as I
move into you
free fall now and
I will take over

Fall into me
allow yourself
to flow and center
in this current
it becomes you
surround me
surround me.

I keep looking for words that mean surround AND absorb at the same time, and unify just doesn't do it. You did an amazing job of describing something dang near ineffable.

This piece speaks volumes. I am still taking it all in even after 6 months. It is like visiting the museum to see a masterpiece. Thank you for this...
