Shakin' by Maude CurtisEmerged from the shower with shakin' knees,
I stayed in 'til the water got cold,
the shower head can no longer please,
the magic finger you sent's gettin' old.
I need somethin' more and you have it there
the tool of my happiness and bliss,
this ache in my heart is gettin' hard to bear,
I hunger for the taste of your kiss.
I know that it's only a few months away.
when you promised to come home to me,
it's gettin' harder to keep the demons away,
this pain makes me scream like a banshee.
The dogs are afraid and the neighbors talk
about the crazy lady that lives next door.
Sometimes I'm afraid to go for a walk,
their curious stares are gettin' hard to ignore.
So what if I scream and moan in the shower,
it helps chase my frustrations away.
It's better than drinkin' more whiskey sour,
gettin' drunk and passin' out for the day.
So I'll keep this up 'til you're here with me
and chase my demons away with your love.
Til then I'll imagine how it's goin' to be
and send you kisses on the wings of a dove.
