Tell Me, Gentle Reader, What Do You See

by Joe Cramer

What I want, and what I finally get
Are about as diametrically opposed
As I could ever find. I now forget
What I first wanted, so I just suppose
That what I should do is to simply ask,
For what it is that I truly do want.
I'm afraid I'm just not up to the task.
This same notion seems to forever haunt
Me. So now, as always, I simply wait
For when that day does finally arrive.
I truly hope that I am not too late.
In the meantime, I always run and hide.
What I want, and have, does not define me.
Tell me, gentle reader, what do you see?

no it does not define you, but what I see is the desire to just go for what you want and not wait...not let anything hold you back...
