The hunger

by Keith D Allison

gazing upon the glass
as the water droplets fall
those clamoring
unforgiving rhythm of time
those scars
upon the mind

The breeze
fueled the coldness of
the beauty of your eyes
you were the master of
breaking world’s
to bring the unbearable
pain

yet
the purpose was fulfilled
keeping from the cold
from the emptiness of night
your need’s filled
sparkling eyes
forgot now something left behind
to feed empty the field

Within the hunger
forever lost

Forever and forever and forever, eh? Great closer. Nice work across the board though.

This cries out for a Dylan Thomas quote: "Though they go mad, they shall be sane, Though they sink through the sea, they shall rise again, Though lovers be lost, Love shall not. And Death Shall Have No Dominion." Bravo, Keith. Thanks.
