Flowers by Keith D AllisonFlowers of my seed
Growing
growing so far away
Laughter drifting
on the morning breath
yet
silenceā¦ upon the ear
touch the lonely tear
Beauty oh beauty
across the distant miles
what am I doing here
Flowers
flowers of spring
flowers of the heart
Time distant
unknown grasp
shadows wrapped
Flowers of spring
flowers of summer
flowers of the autumn breeze
Flowers
Their fragrance
wraps around you
like warm winds to the heart
Flowers
flowers growing
in the distance in miles

Posted by Gregory O'Neill on 05/28/09 at 06:34 PM Life is a do-it-yourself project, sometimes we must see our work from the distance, and that can be a blessing and a sad curse. Nice write. Thanks. |
Posted by Kris Mara on 05/29/09 at 01:11 PM the repetition in this has a great power, which may be odd to say when the repetition is flowers, but since the flowers are the object of longing here, that's what I'm hearing...this is like gazing at a photograph, longing to be near the subject instead of holding only images...very nice |
