Curious Abberation by Alison McKenzieCome to Oz
And faraway
The clouds are churning,
Yearning play
Where poppies grow
And others fail
My consciousness
Beyond the veil
Forgetfulness
And loving reign
Beyond sensations’
Roiling pain
Jagannath,
Narasinghadeva,
Appear to me
Above the wave
Of colors’
Cleansing ritual
A fierceness roars
Habitual
Then all is brown
In murky field;
Emotionless,
Mysterious yield.
I find myself
On distant shore
Of headache’s vague
Impinging score
Vibrations on
A higher plane
The buzzing, streaming
Yellow flame
“I have to go”
The mantra screams
Escape the maze
Within these dreams
The voice of reason
Fades away
The pleading, burning
Taste of May
The strangeness of
Eternity
To drift upon
That open sea
I cannot sense
Direction’s fate
I only know
I have to wait

Posted by Kris Mara on 05/26/09 at 12:19 PM there's a great daydream-ish quality to this and the sounds that roll down the page in waves work well to convey the feeling... |
