May 22 - "Writing isn't. . ." by Jason WardellWriting isn't magic,
it's smoke,
it's mirrors.
Suspend your disbelief
and I'll pull a sonnet
out of my hat.
Writing isn't divine communion,
it's human communion.
It's a group
therapy session
for people
without problems
and some people
with problems.
Writing isn't sculpting,
it's forming
mounds of clay
out of clay
and naming them
after mountains.

Posted by Kris Mara on 05/26/09 at 12:17 PM I love the tone and your clever word play in this all wrapped up with that last stanza -- the whole thing makes me smile and nod in agreement - you put this thing into words well! |
