It was a dream
simply a dream.
It did seem
so real,
so surreal.
Impressionistic,
narcissistic
or realistic.
The dream came
and stayed around
for some time,
then it was gone.
It was a dream,
simply a dream.
When I woke
I spoke
quickly
quietly into the phone.
This memory
would not leave me alone.
Chilled to the bone
I remained alone
except for your voice.
This is my choice.
