Washing behind my ears
Has only recently been added
To my ablutions,
In the shower
I soap and rinse the crevice
Between neck and rear of the ear,
And then can be assured
I will not be the topic of gossip
By bees, mosquitos and ordinary flies
As the person
With ears that smell
Like a landfill.
