part 3, chord g

by Frank Lee

my heads on fire
dreamin bout desire
screamin in my sleep
waking up knee deep
in regret
remorse
another horse
another bet
why didn't you let
me go home
i missed the cab
i missed the boat
i might as well stab
my chest in two
forget about you
forget about us
forget about trust
we're older now
but, somehow
nothing changed
it's all the same
so we laugh and drink
pass some smoke
and think
it'll all be good
in the morn
ing

i'm not too proud
and i'm not loud
i'm not allowed
to act that way
but someday
maybe i'll look back
i'll think of this
i'll think of crisp
dollar bills
between
that strippers tits
and i'll think maybe
i was a bit
too lit
but i'll forget the words you
said
the words you meant
the words you
lent

it's over now
we're sober now
but somehow
but someway
we still
have nothing
to say

Perfect form in this thing. A style like this always lends itself quite brilliantly to the story and imagery. I wish I could capture this corner of the world as well as you do.
