These Are My Barefeet

by Alison McKenzie

What’s it like to feel this?
What does it mean to be here now?
The energy has shifted,
The columns reinforced with

Love

The density of strength and
Ligatures of boundless fusion
Coalescence of cosmic unities

What’s it like to be present,
To be needed,
To feel nurtured at last
In the arms of Destiny?

Vibratory rates of decadence,
Flying beyond skin and circumstance,
Inhalation of frivolous fragrances,
A faerie heart delighted to dance
At last.

This is what it means.
This is how it feels.
This is the path I tread.
These are my bare feet.
This is my smile.
These are the best days – ever.
