Grandma's Baby

by Delilah Coyne

She's just what you always wished for!
A tiny red-headed baby,
fair and plump,
with a carrot top.

I dreamed of you just the other night.
I introduced her to you
and you smiled.

I wish you could see her.
You would love her so much.
She has your fingers and toes,
and of course, your red hair.
So beautiful.

What I wouldn't give to see the smile
she'd bring to your face!
