So many times I get so lost in my self-importance.
It seems that this is the only actual pretense
To anything that has any semblance of what is real.
I feel, as if that is all that matters.
So I end up lost and alone, forever losing myself in the process.
But, I digress, so many times this is all that is left.
I would much rather
Know exactly how it feels
To end up with such recompensense
Instead of my own self-manufactured self-importance.
