The trembling of the morning

by Keith D Allison

it melody
touches at the ear
the naked tree
about to give birth
stretches forth
into the gray sky
as the mist
places little lakes upon ground

the droplets across the face
as I walk along the path
listening to the water about its way
the hair raise upon the neck
as I stare at the black bear
on the Creek
for I am unprepared
I could have been breakfast
but we both scurried on our way

Glad you didn't end up bear burger. The first stanza could be a poem itself. Really nice. Thanks.
