Bitter Love by Christopher ShinBlack hearted fool
the darkest moment
makes the world smile
and shake their head.
I smirk as swear to
the loins that drive
a boy crazy over the
gazelles that leap
so gracefully.
I smile as celluloid
that embraces the heart
of all Venus's great
power.
I struggle each day
to find a piece of me,
and the ideals of
the happy conclusion.
All I wish for is an
enchanting voice to
whisper songs of
contentment into my
deaf ears.
And then the biting
feeling of Cupid takes
a hold of my small soul.
And I am lost again.
Yet I doubt I will be
young enough to feel
it or witness it again.
So I sit and stare out
into the blue skies
and dark nights hoping. 04/30/2009 Posted on 05/01/2009 Copyright © 2025 Christopher Shin

Posted by Alison McKenzie on 05/01/09 at 08:55 AM I know for a fact I'm not young enough. "I struggle each day to find a piece of me, and the ideals of
the happy conclusion." This I know from my own insides, too. Resonation. |
