Zombies Don't Go To Heaven

by Clara Mae Gregory

Zombification of civilization spread
aloft tops of ancient ziggurats.

Ishtar's eggs and Ahriman's seed
became the zygotes of desolation.

In darkness they festered until birth-
born to be the children of the dead.

Their Godless pride declared war
against Shechinah's eternal glory.

Glowing life is sheltered from evil
inside Zion's Utopian jeweled walls.

Their darkness shall find defeat,
forever lost in their own perdition.

I like the sounds in this poem. the words read aloud are quite harmonious (though the subject not so). good read. thanks for the words.

The imagery in this is extremely good. Powerfully written poem.
