Sad Love

by Christopher Shin

Drain me of all youth
and I will tell you
forgotten kisses that
are returned with empty
stares.

Love the fables told,
but I go on with the
broken promises of
Spring peach blossoms
in bloom.

Hum a song as I drag
my mind through the
shadows as I stand
amongst the forgotten,
discarded, and sullen
creatures.

Hunt the forest as
I stumble and stare
in expectation of the end,
but nothing concludes
the sorrow of love.

It's a story I know well these days. Amazingly written!
