Epiphany about Love

by Christopher Shin

We love the things
that never had the
feelings that spare
a single thought.

We desire the heart
of a heart that is
long gone to someone
unworthy to the sky
and earth bellow.

Yet we settle for
the souls that hold
not value in the darkest
days that bends all
ambitions.

And we become the fool
that is slowly blinded
by sudden hearts that
can not and will not
compare to the stolen
infatuation.

We sit broken souls and
broken hearts in the end.

Man, I'm living your moment. Right now. Amazing stuff you've penned here, Christopher.
