Vision by George Hoerneri see no legend past,
present, or future
upon which to lay my head
my grail never holy
has no luster
most reflections are memories
of battles lost
i feel the old scars
as the sword is
pulled from its scabbard
the sharp edge
reminding me of my mortality
regardless i live life
by my rules
refusing to acknowledge
your perfect vision of my life
