Hope for Tomorrow

by Joe Cramer

Forever and always I am left wondering
Which way I should go, which road to follow.
The paths of my youth are gone, meandering.
Never mind that now, I simply wallow
In my self-inflicted malaise
This pill is so very hard to swallow.
It seems to follow me throughout my days.
I can't seem to remember the past to hope for tomorrow.

I like this.Has a good flow and reflects the thoughts many of us have when reflecting on our life and circumstances and choices that often leaves us depressed and disillusioned, triggering that "blanking" defense mechanism we all possess.
