Subtle Subterfuge

by Joe Cramer

She said that I have far too much angst in my life
That living was too much of a struggle, I could not get it right.
I have always enjoyed this simplistic subtle subterfuge,
As if there were nothing else in the living, I feel used.
I wonder what it's like to be viewed as simply normal, sane?
Whether my life would be any different, or would it just remain
The same, without any other prospect or notion.
My supposed angst, my dear, is as wide as any ocean.

OH, but I think we all have our own varieties of angst.....we just see it NOT in ourselves, as we do others. Sticks and stones.
