mathematicians funny? by Charlie Morgani surrounded myself like the Red Queen
does with her charges, cards valued less.
she is virtuous as most; yet, not mean
as her red counterpart who is part of
Alice's dream, "off with their head!"
antagonist til chapter 8, protaganoist
therafter, shaken by Alice becomes
her kitty, playful and obedient.
so, the story goes. and lewis laughs;
agreeing with Jules Poincare that most
people are content thinking things
are real, "don't disturb them."
mathmeticians are funny like that. 04/08/2009 Posted on 04/08/2009 Copyright © 2026 Charlie Morgan

| Posted by Alison McKenzie on 04/08/09 at 07:11 PM I have the utmost respect for mathematicians. I've wanted to be one, actually, but my brain isn't wired that way. Well, I love algebra, and do well with it, but that hardly makes for a math genius. " 'The time has come,' the walrus said, 'to talk of many things....'" |

| Posted by George Hoerner on 04/08/09 at 07:40 PM Great write Charlie. And it's true, we deal in abstracts, lines, points, numbers, dimensions, etc., hardly any form of reality there at all unless you want to play Black Jack with a card counting mathematician for real money. |
