Morning Madness by Erin Jones open my eyes
why?
this light doesn't shine here
anymore
the sunshine in my window
becomes
but a breath of air
that quick
nothing more
the darkness overcomes it
the light fades
suddenly the world is black
again
it used to last much longer
but this
is no more than
a second
then suddenly, this pain
i feel
has resurfaced again
the sun
stops shining within
my heart
and beneath the light
is nothing
but dark 04/06/2009 Posted on 04/07/2009 Copyright © 2024 Erin Jones

Posted by Jo Halliday on 06/23/09 at 05:49 PM Wake up earlier. Not a witty remark, but really! Not to delude that it's you who woke up in the dark of dawn. But to know the hope for waiting for even that moment's light, let the darkness come after. Written really well! |
