Tattoo

by Christopher Shin

I don't care anymore
as time melts all
around me causing
wrinkles in pink.

I stabbed the ink
as it adds pigment
to a rather dull
life.

Love falls around
me like scattering
tears in a summer
bliss.

So I smashed my head
and take the smirk
of fallen lovers
and curse the
heart that weighs
my like an anchor.

Sad songs play,
and wine stained
glasses line the
walls and tables
of my alter.

And the lonely
walk home is
field with the familiar
creeping fog that
ends with only dreams.
