Rainbow

by Joe Cramer

In her pocket lies a rainbow

Colors so very bright and bold.

To her pocket she will go

When she feels so tired, or old.

The world is colored by her rainbow,

Shades of a hue never known.

She watches the colors bend, flow

As her time passes, she has grown.

Picking up these colors, she hums a tune

Dancing tightly in the day.

The end will come, far too soon,

And her rainbow too, will go away.

This is wonderful and so poigniant. An excellent glimpse at life.
