Game On [dream-speak] by Laura DoomIn the dream [DeathWish III]
I am engaged in conversation [combat]
with a pathologically nice person [angel]
My attitude [strategy]
is epitomised by suicidal honesty [devil's advocacy]
an approach designed to unbalance [destroy]
my partner in discourse [nemesis]
The outcome is inevitable [fixed]
and I thrive on the guilt [awesome...next level, O Mighty Misanthrope?]
In the reality of wakefulness [hell]
the terminally pleasant are compassionate [disarming]
to the point of suicide [selflessness]
whilst the suicidally honest [turgid]
are pathologically deluded [full of shit]
I am yet to wake [dream on] 04/01/2009 Posted on 03/31/2009 Copyright © 2024 Laura Doom

Posted by Morgan D Hafele on 04/01/09 at 12:41 AM CHARLES BRONSON!! sorry, but that had to be done. this is an awesome piece! the last 6 lines are my favorite. |
Posted by Anita Mac on 04/01/09 at 04:41 AM Well this is different... And I love it. The brackets say it all. And, yeah those last six take the prize, but the intro is so perfect. ~ amac |
Posted by Gabriel Ricard on 04/01/09 at 01:56 PM Some really nicely done schizophrenia on your part. The contrast from one voice to another is just perfect. One thing about seeing what's going on in your head: It's never, ever boring. |
Posted by Elizabeth Jill on 04/09/09 at 04:23 PM Me: knowing full well that your writing cliffhangs so elegantly above everything else I previously thought was writing writing (imo), i wonder how it is that in every turn of reading this - came complete understanding (in every sense possible... |
