Electric Fingers

by Jessica A Steenbock

my skin tingles
as it yearns for the tender touch of
your electric fingers

my body trembles
as it remembers
the waves that traveled
through your hands

the currents that rushed from them
sent ripples surging through
the fibers of silken sheets

in undulating rhythms
the acute touch of those
gentle fingers roused me

suspended between breaths

like a heroin dream
my body quivered and exhausted
as lips grazed my shoulders

the warmth of you
came from inside
as you watched me so
intently

my skin tingles
as it yearns for the tender touch
of your electric fingers
