Tort Law or à tort et à travers

by Timothy Somers

Achilles needed Mom
to dip him in the well.
Dante needed Ptolemy,
to go to hell & gone
on frequent flyer miles
and miles to go,
etc.
So…
No promises I keep.

Not even Frogish poor attempts.
Not even unpaid rents in checkered mail,
‘tis no avail.

My soul had a walk out.
My brain had a lock out.
Labor ready,
never steady,
too many miles before I sleep,
with the 3 dogs,
tree frogs,
and monkey temple Gods of Western lore.
Go ahead.
Pull my chain some more.

Flushing doesn’t hurt.
Not even since the worlds fair,
Not fair,
Worlds not,
S’not.

Really.
