My Sister by Joan SerratelliI haven't spoken
to you
in over a year
You emailed me
asking me
what happened
to us
I wrote back
just one word
"LIFE"
I haven't heard
from you
since that day
We were never close
we hardly spoke
You never even
took the time
to get to know my kids
Then Mom got sick
and after she died
our relationship
failed to thrive
and we stopped talking
once again
You're my sister
and I love you
I want to see you
I want to talk
But it's never
going to happen
now that Mom
is gone
03/21/2009 Author's Note: I really want to have a relationship with my sister, but apparently she does not share my feelings.
