Harmony for One

by Alison McKenzie

Earthen eyes see beyond maya,
Material world illusion made bright
By the reflection of Divinity

True Light would blind
Ossuaries made of flesh

Days of living
In this paradigm
I am a walking soul
Put into flesh and bone
As some universal humor
Made for giggling

Can I be a fairy, please?
Allow me a taste of magic
For thriviality’s sake

I thank
I ask
I ride
I laugh
I breathe

Fingers trace, exquisite breeze of touch
Across skin, scarred and bare.

Inside aches in primal desire
To be full of my counterpart
Heart singing a harmony for one.

Ah so wonderful to read, the composition is complete with the image of the words. Well said. Well done. --bf
