don’t try
to remember any way

repeat with intent
forgetfulness

through old fence
into soothe of day

fray clock roots
round studded branch

wind mold
petaled memory

has blue
with copper edges

its tendrils
are ravenous

collect jewels
sew down tight

intricate encircling
unpathed to keep

until none but one
bird serenes red sky
