Sitting In The Sun with Smile, Pen and Memory

by Dan Kasten

Every day I speak to the ceiling
accolades for two souls that
twice made a difference in the world

thankfulness comes in currencies never as personal
as the closeness we share when looking at our legacies

flesh and blood innocent with the smell of kindness
where smiles come with no agenda other than love

I treasure the remembrances of you
your life
your gifts to me
your perspective as you walk away again

a love shared gentle and silent
neither earned nor lucked into

sitting in the sun with smile, pen and memory.

A sweet love poem with perspective- yes, that's exactly what this is....and it's really wonderful!

Treasure that place "where smiles come with no agenda other than love" and I will beam and wave to you from all sides. It's nice to see you today. Nice to find this moment with the sacred touch of your pen.
