Crying

by Joan Serratelli

I cannot stop
crying
no matter
what I do

I cry
over everything
and anything
that's just
what I do

I cry
when I'm happy
I cry
when I'm sad
I cry
when I'm frustrated
I cry
when I'm mad

They say
that crying
is good
it rids the body
of toxins
it makes you
feel good

I cry
in the morning
I cry at noon
I cry
in the evening
that's just what I do

People just
don't understand
It's who I am
and
it's what I do

Author's Note: I've always been a crier. It's not good; it's not bad- it's just me.

i used to cry when i got embarrassed and mad...but somewhere over the years, the tears dried up. i like the sing-songy tone to this one.

i can't cry in public (closest is at a dark movie theatre) but when i'm home those public informercials (you know the "for ten cents a day...) can do the job lol. I think you have captured the dynamic of most women here whether we admit it or not :)

Crying gets rid of toxins? Whoever says that needs a biology lesson. lol "It's who I am", i like that line. No matter who or what you are it's important to accept yourself for it.

crying is wonderful and fascinating and i do it all the time, more people should freely cry. i believe it does get rid of toxins and excess stress chemicals, we do it for a reason, and those who hardly ever cry or stop themselves from crying, in my experience, end up feeling worse
