Letter elegiac, The by Tim J Bono
Quaking while dropping off your letter
(Two long years we had been together)
Enclosing impermanence I lick the seal
(Holding back tears to wish you well)
Addressing your life into a different corner
(Heaven knows only broken hearts and mourners)
Placing a stamp to send you away
(Breaking promises that we would brave)
Dropping down a infinite shoot
(Out of my hand slips prospects with you)
Slamming lid, and you reverberate
(through this mundane act, in exacted pain).

Looking forward to closing the door on this chapter of life...

Posted by Alisa Js on 03/15/09 at 06:43 PM Hello Tim, Thank you for stopping by. It was so nice to read your thoughts again. This one is one I can certainly relate to. And sometimes it's better to end it sooner than later, especially when considering the greater picture in it's context... i.e. one's life... lol.. alisa ;-) |
