The Raven's Battle (Part 2)
by Razel DaviesDarkness falls,
Across the land.
Gasps of horror,
Fills the sky.
This last day,
Of fading light.
A future of suffering,
For all this night.
The man of evil,
His brow so firm.
Rests his feet,
Upon the stricken one.
The Raven’s limp corpse,
Flaccid dead hope.
Communal pain,
Draws a final togetherness.
As a river of tears,
Wash away the hero’s body.
Reality grips hearts,
And tears them out.
An echo of hurtful laughter,
Brings the land,
To it’s knees.
