I could imagine you happy about all this

by Jared Orlando

Crumbled coffee-stained notes flutter
Cluttered around the desolate apartment
And I could imagine you happy about all this.

All those picture frames, faced down
God knows how long you’ve been face down
And I could imagine you happy about all this.

Turning a blind eye from that familiar smell
It hides in a corner, potent and beaming
And I could imagine you happy about all this.

Too many things you have commented on
And if I only didn’t have to keep them around
And I could imagine you happy about all this.

No dream catcher could save me
From those cold sweat nights when minds linger
And I could imagine you happy about all this.

I clutch anything I can find that mimics your skin
And certain yellows pinks and blues strike a chord
But what exactly is the point in trying to change it
And I could imagine you happy about all this.

Definitely a really nice songwriting quality to this, man. Love it.
