Doomsday by Razel DaviesDoomsday.
Where are we?
Doomsday.
What’s to be?
Doomsday.
Is it the end?
Doomsday.
Ending ‘round the bend?
Ride we might,
Dust roads to catch.
Horses replaces,
Motors rage.
Final cries,
Black dirt rise.
Our only hope,
Shrouded in loss.
Here written,
The last saviour.
Zarathustra’s disgust,
Fools drum him out.
The mountain hides,
The world’s truth.
Goodbye dear ones,
That day has come.
Roars of engines,
Call our souls out.
No white light,
No angels to smile.
Our bodies rote,
And we die.
Doomsday.
Where are we?
Doomsday.
What’s to be?
Doomsday.
Is it the end?
Doomsday.
Ending ‘round the bend? 03/12/2009
Author's Note: Written a while ago. Inspired by a Kaisers Orchestra song.

Posted by Joan Serratelli on 03/12/09 at 05:19 PM Very eerie! For some reason, it reminded me of "Hal" in "2001" Good write as usual- you'vegiven me something to think about. |

Where've I been? I thought you went for the high seas?! I have missed you ~ am glad you're here. Your floating words that you'd html across your pages always fascinated me, always fit the mood of your poem. |
