Living Life in Death in Love by Christopher ShinAs I fall
the wind drags
tears across
into the stars
as children dance
in the rain of
tears.
Needles race
leaving trails
of ruby droplets
into the pale pink
crisp flesh.
My soul sings as
the hopes dash
against the rocks,
and the lovely
eyes break me
with smiles that
slash at me.
Crooked sabers
with ivory crescent
moons I fall down,
and deeper I am in
tragedy.
Drawing with my hands
to find a soul to
be there for me now.
But now isn't the right
time for it,
and it will never be
the right era for me.
I struggle against the
tide as my memories
fade into the pages
of forgotten history
that melts away. 03/10/2009 Posted on 03/11/2009 Copyright © 2024 Christopher Shin
