~*~Collage~*~ by Wendy SparlingSnapshots,
tokens of precious life
pinned in no given order
on a board.
Baby carriage,
bandaged knees, fishing trips,
Halloween costumes,
all there, set on an easel
for all to reminisce.
Graduation,
Brother Scott beaming with pride
holding you close,
both grinning ear to ear.
Uncle Ron holding you high
on his shoulders,
you were five.
Lisa, eyes full of love
cradling your babies
when the timer flashed
with you at their side.
Everyone gathered close,
to view those cherished
memories you left etched
in their hearts.
My finger traced your face,
I could not speak
through my tightened throat,
and I kissed your picture.
