Power of a Kiss by Jared WinklerAs I reminisce,
look over old letters
and conversations
with infatuations
I thought I loved
I am reminded
of those intense emotions,
of pain and anger
and, it's funny,
today they bring a smile.
There was a time
when I thought:
If I can muster up the strength
to kiss her on the lips
I could make her fall for me.
Well, I would have been wrong.
But, such innocence is refreshing.
That I had such confidence
in the power
of a kiss.
