Old Habits Never Die!

by Joan Serratelli

I started smoking again
I don't know why
I need to quit
'cuz the price
is much too high

I will start tomorrow
or the next day
or the next
I cannot smoke
my life away

It won't be easy
I know it's true
but I know
I can
I know
I will

I'll start to time
them
like I did before
one an hour
and then no more

....and when I get down
to a few,
I'll quit
forever
I'll be through

Author's Note: Started smoking again- just too much stress in my life!

Habits are merely shackles for the already free. I'm sure you'll succeed the moment you need to. Anxiety can be harder on a person than some of the crutches we resort to. Best to you.

This is kind of a cute way to look at it Joan. Best of luck to you!

The last time I quit for six months I gained over 20 pounds. Just traded one vice for another so I picked them back up.
