What's inside a pearl? (I was going to take you 2 school today.)

by Johnny Crimson

Lick steel poles
in the summer
with no commitments
Skip down Broadway
in your hush-puppies
while smiling dead
cirlces float up
around your eyes.
And the neon city glows
green with envy for your
"pure" white appearance.
But no one else knows
that I woke up with your
thong on my face and
a cup of virgin blood on
the night stand.

It's dark, it's amusing, and it's true... And undoubtedly excellent of course. I especially liked the opening three lines. When I first read it I was like I understand licking steel poles in winter but summer? And yeah, then it hit me... I can be slow sometimes - most times really. But anyway, awesome work, as usual; very, very well done indeed. ;)
