Nature Walk by Johnny CrimsonShaking off sleep
from my eyelids
I glance at the
low cut sky in the black dress
that prances clumsily
across the horizon
and sheepishly spills
her drink on the agriculture
below.
She came to rest when the rain
had gone
"another olive in my rain cloud
martini please"
I made a picnic and camped out
under the stars and
spent the night
staring up into her dress.
By morning I felt raped
by weather
itself and I decided that "real people"
were probably my best shot.
Having no bedpost handy I carved
a notch in the nearest tree and
spent the day sharing elevator rides

"Real people" tend to be overrated, so I have to admire someone who reaches for the stars, literally... An excellent piece all a round; very well done! |
